Project Overview
Empower AI, an IT service and consulting firm formerly known as NCI, helps federal agencies enhance workforce productivity through technical expertise and decades of mission experience.
In 2022, they noticed a sharp decline in engagement with the whitepapers on their website. After assessing the issue, they determined that dense content and the static nature of PDFs failed to capture user interest, leading many to exit before reaching key information.
Seeking a solution, they partnered with my team at Ceros. We proposed transforming one of their whitepapers into an engaging, interactive experience.

Utilizing their brand
The Empower AI team provided their selected whitepaper and an extensive branding kit for me to use. During my review, I found opportunities to add animation and interactivity to assets so that they would increase engagement with users. Knowing that I would need to find a solution that would condense the text, I compiled different modules, such as carousels, pop-up windows, tile cards, and tab systems within Ceros, a no-code publishing platform. I also made sure that the modules would be easy to update and be reusable for future projects.

My approach was to only feature the key information from the whitepaper in the experience and have an outbound link at the end of the page lead to the original pdf, this way users can view it for additional information and context. Fortunately, the client allowed me to cut content, if needed, and I teamed up with a content strategist to properly organize the content. Full Design
After I presented and gained Empower AI team's approval for both the layout and animations/interactions, I built out the landing using the modules that I previously created in the brand toolkit. Since most of the heavy lifting was done, it was just a matter of moving the pieces around to complete the puzzle and filling in the content.

Outcome
Upon completion, I sent over the file to Empower AI and they worked with their IT team to implement it onto their website. The reception was positive and they began to see an increase in engagement.
Empower Ai is currently using the landing page as a template for their new whitepapers and is easily able to make the updates on their own.
